Hi everyone,

Books went into bulk production last month overseas and should be completed soon. We're hoping to have a product sample to share in the next week or two, along with an update on when books will ship. 

A reminder that Krampus has been retracted at the retail level, so the version backers receive will be the only version of the 2026 edition.

Follow Up To Yesterday's Update

Hi everyone,

We wanted to properly address the mistake in our update yesterday regarding backers being able to request a free copy of the mass-market retail book.

We noted this mistake in the comments as a "typo," and by that, we meant that it was a sentence that should not have been included in the update itself.

In full transparency, the original thought for part of the update was to offer the mass-market book to backers who wanted it. After discussing it internally, we ultimately decided to change this and instead go with an all-new print and pin offering for every physical backer.

Removing that last line about the mass-market retail book was overlooked, and that's totally on us.

Our sincerest apologies. We hope you enjoy the pin and print, which will now be included automatically with all physical orders.

Production Update - A Few Extra Treats From Legendary

Dear Backers

As you know, production on Trick r Treat WITCHING HOURS is finished, and you should all have a PDF copy of the final book. The Kickstarter edition, with the slipcase and Krampus, is being printed now.

The trade paperback/mass market edition arrived sooner. It’s a less deluxe, easier-to-print book, and that will go on sale October 13th. 

Because the hardcover slipcase edition is taking longer to make, we want to include a couple of additional EXCLUSIVE FREE ITEMS that will be shipped in all physical reward tier orders. The first is a brand-new piece of art by Trick 'r Treat artist Breehn Burns:

The other item is a Sam enamel pin by artist M. Victoria Robado (who also did the previous Trick 'r Treat and Krampus pin sets):

We recognize some of you feel frustrated by the production timeline of this project. The reality is, as I have said before, we lost 2 of 4 artists, and that created a significant delay because we had to start from scratch on two stories. 

HARVEST MOONS was particularly painful, as that is the longest story in the book. But we prioritized getting it done right, not getting it done fast, so we started over with artist EL GARING, and are very happy with how HARVEST MOONS has turned out.

It’s never our desire for books to take longer to make than we estimate. It’s as frustrating for the publisher as it is for the customer, but writers and artists are people, and things happen, causing delays. We will endeavor to be more accurate in our projections next time.

With that said, we are still working out the timing on when books will be arriving at our fulfillment warehouse, but we intend to follow up on that in a future update.

I firmly believe you will love your special edition of Trick r Treat Witching Hours and Krampus. And if you hadn’t heard, we have made the decision to NOT do a mass market retail version of this edition of Krampus, so the one you receive will not be available anywhere else. It will be a Kickstarter exclusive. We will notify you as soon as your order is shipping.

Be on the lookout for an email from BackerKit that will take you to your survey or you can access your survey yourself. To have another invite to your survey sent to you, click the link below and enter your email address associated with your order:

Once in your survey, you will see a blue "Get Your Digital Downloads" button that you can click:

You'll then see a download option on the next page:

If you're having issues accessing your survey or downloads, please DM us.

To send a DM to a Kickstarter creator, you can use the following methods based on your device:

We will be distributing the digital edition of Witching Hours by the end of this month (August). We'll do an update similar to this one with instructions once it happens.
